Christina Hyland is a Clinical Social Worker who earned her Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree at York University. She is registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and is also a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Christina is shaped by her belief in the intrinsic strength of each of us as human beings. Her approach to counseling involves fostering a safe and empathetic space for her clients to share and explore, while they work collaboratively to build upon coping strategies for everyday stress, anxiety, depression and a range of life circumstances. Christina draws on her education and training in a range of therapeutic frameworks, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness-based practice, as well as her experience in adolescent and adult mental health.

Christina is also a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN) and offers this through a social work lens of practice. Specializing in the food-mood connection, Christina focuses on areas such as emotional eating, addictions to food, body image, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. Her practice also includes guidance in other areas of nutrition, including fitness, weight loss or gain, digestion and dietary/lifestyle changes. Whether you are facing a difficult life transition, are struggling with a physical health concern, or in need of support and guidance, Christina’s focus on the interconnection of the body and mind, will assist you in truly addressing the underlying factors contributing to your main health concerns.
