We have 2 Registered Massage Therapists (R.M.T.’s) joining us as well as a Reiki Master & Reflexologist. We are all extremely excited to welcome them to our team here at Lakeside!

Deborah Vanderkurk, R.M.T.
An avid runner, cyclist and mom, Deborah brings much insight and experience to her practice. After graduating in 2008 from the acclaimed Sutherland Chan, she continued to pursue her specialties in pre/post natal massage, shoulder injury rehabilitation, TMJ dysfunctions and pelvic pain. While her background is General Swedish Massage, she uses a broad range of techniques including myofascial release, active release, visceral manipulation, and cranial sacral therapy.
Deborah is an advocate of self-care and draws on postural correction and stretching techniques from her yoga practice. She is currently pursuing kids yoga teacher training.
When she is not pDeb – Head Shotracticing, Deborah loves to be outdoors with her family and friends.
Deb will be starting her practice @ Lakeside in May 2015. Her hours will be as follows:
- Mondays 9:15 am – 2:00 pm
- Tuesdays 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
- Wednesdays 9:15 am – 2:00 pm
Neb Vidanovic, R.M.T.
Neb’s passion for healing is what brought him to study massage therapy and become an RMT. His knowledge in Electrical Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Kinesiology/Self Care Exercises, Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish massage makes him stand out in his field. He has found effective results through his work with such ailments as Osteoarthritis, Arthritis, Frozen shoulder, ITB contracture/knee pain, sprain, strain, plantar fasciitis, kyphosis, scoliosis, sinus headaches, detoxification, colon cleansing and many more…..
Neb loves being an RNeb (5)MT as it allows him to implement his knowledge in hands-on treatment and see the results from his work!
Neb will be starting his practice @ Lakeside in May 2015. His hours will be as follows:
- Mondays 4:00 pm – 8:30 pm
- Wednesdays 4:30 pm – 8:00 pm (starting June 1st *)
- Thursdays 9:15 am – 1:45 pm
Trudy Parolin, Reiki Master, Certified Reflexologist (candidate)
Being an empathetic person from a young age, Trudy knew that helping people would inevitably be her destiny in some shape or form. Being introduced to Reiki Therapy by sheer coincidence, Trudy was able to completely transform her outlook on many things in life, including self-love & acceptance. Knowing that this was a very powerful element, she knew that she had to learn more, and share this positive benefit with those who also wish to find the balance & peace in life.
Now a Reiki Practitioner at Master & Teacher Level, Trudy feels blessed and guided to help those who seek balance & clarity in their lives. Complementing her private practice, Trudy is very involved in her work as a volunteer Reiki Therapy provider at local hospices. In addition to providing Reiki Therapy, Trudy is also working towards completion of her certification in Reflexology. Reflexology or the application of appropriate pressure to specific areas on the feet, hands, or ears is incredibly effective for many ailments including pain and fatigue, and stands out as a beautiful compliment to Reiki Therapy. Trudy will soon be offering uniquely integrated Reiki and Reflexology treatments in her practice.
Trudy’s mission is to “help make this world a better place, one person at a time” . A busy mother of two and contiTrudy – Head Shotnuously working to deepen her skills as an energy practitioner, Trudy is sure to bring even more to clients as time goes on.
