They say “you never find Reiki – it finds you” and I truly believe that! Being a former distance runner, I started gaining weight, when realistically, I should have been losing it & had heard about a fantastic nutritionist at Lakeside who was married to an elite runner – and I figured “surely if ANYONE knows how to fuel a runners body, it HAS to be this lady” (Diana Poirier)! In my first nutrition session with Diana, she had asked me if I had ever considered Reiki, and the rest is history. After trying it, I knew instantly, that this was something that I just had to learn more about, and as I went along, knew it was something I had to share – everyone should feel so free & happy from the inside out! Reiki can help that process more than one can even begin to imagine! As for Reflexology – I had never had a session myself before, but I just knew it was something I had to do. As with Reiki, Reflexology is non-invasive, but oh so effective, and the two in combination is pure magic!
As far as any specialization that I may have goes, I have to be honest when I say, I just do what I do. It is something I have been chosen to do and I am very passionate about all areas of my practice. I am very thankful for each & every client that I help & I count my Blessings each & every day – Gratitude is everything.
My #1 health tip is to live with happiness and find relaxation. To be healthy we have to heal all aspects of our being – not just on a physical level. It stems so much deeper. There are 3 factors that need to be helped – mind, body, and soul. All three elements make up who we are and our well-being depends on all three being in alignment or a state of balance. That is why I will be bringing meditation to Lakeside as well.
My favorite part of my practice is the feedback and responses I receive from my clients. It is all about trying to help another being and doing my best to make this world a better place, one person at a time. If I can help make someone happier, they are sure to spread that joy to those they come in contact with as well!
When it comes to my hobbies and other interests – I love to scrapbook. 🙂 Taking the memories and putting them into a book that is fun to look through, and create something that my kids love to look through randomly…. it helps them retain memories of those special times as well, and that’s really important to me. Since the weight gain, I haven’t really been doing much activity wise, as I am still recovering from multiple injuries, but I know that this is only temporary, and it doesn’t change how I feel about myself. I love me!
What do I value most in my life….taking family completely out of that (because that would be first & foremost), I value honesty & trust. The two go hand in hand, and I treasure that. When my clients come to me, it is something that I give them, and they give me.
If I could live anywhere in the world, I would say it would have to be somewhere where the water is blue, the palm trees are plenty, and the weather is warm! I’d have my vegetable garden growing and lots of nature around. There is nothing more calming than nature.
