Acupuncture is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine theory with the emphasis of treatment to balance the body into its natural state of harmony. With over 5000 years of history, it has proven to be a safe and holistic treatment.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin, sterile needles into specific points in the body to activate circulation, to regulate qi (vital energy) and blood, to remove pathogenic factors and to treat diseases. By treating the root of the problem, not only the symptoms, it alleviates the reason why you’re having the discomfort in the first place. Treatment will vary from person to person according to the diagnosis and differentiation of one’s conditions as determined by your acupuncturist.
Modern research has shown that acupuncture is effective for a wide variety of conditions. Acute conditions may respond with just a few treatments, while a chronic condition may require a longer series of treatments Acupuncture prevents illness, improves body functions, promotes overall health and well-being of the mind, body and spirit!
